Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about what we do

Do you file tax returns or give tax advice?

We keep your records and prepare the working papers, and for landlords who own personally we can also prepare and file your Self Assessment return (from £150). Company corporation tax returns (CT600) are filed by your own accountant, and tax advice is given by a qualified tax adviser.

Can you work with SPVs and multiple properties?

Yes. We work with SPVs, HMOs, holiday lets and portfolios of any size. That includes partnerships, companies and mixed portfolios. We keep the records each one needs to report.

Do you support MTD-compatible records?

Yes. We keep your records digital each month, as Making Tax Digital requires. They are organised and ready for your accountant to submit.

What if I have bridging or development finance?

We handle bridging loans, development finance and refinancing. We track every finance cost and record it correctly for tax.

How do you handle data security and confidentiality?

We transfer documents securely and never ask for your bank login. Your data is stored and handled under our data protection policy, and kept confidential. Ask us for the security details if you'd like them.

What if I'm facing an HMRC investigation?

We support you through an HMRC investigation. We organise your records, prepare the paperwork, and work with your accountant so it is presented properly.

Key Terms (Plain English)

The words you need to know for landlord accounting

MTD (Making Tax Digital)

HMRC is moving landlords to digital records. We help you keep records the way MTD requires for property income.

Section 24

Limits mortgage interest relief for individuals, though not for companies. We track your finance costs and show what they mean for your tax.

Working Papers

The tidy schedules and files your accountant needs. Clear records save their time and your fees.
